THE FIRST HUMANS (1st)

Read Through The Holy Bible

Read through Genesis Chapers 1-6 to start. Re-read alongside the following sections.

At around part 8, read further on into Genesis, at least up to chapter 12 but even better, read through into the middle of the Genesis account.

Part I: History Is Shaped

The Seed To Crush Must Survive From Eve

Reading the Bible can be done in a variety of ways, reading from cover to cover, reading selected chapters each day or analysing each of the books with friends and so on. The weakest way of reading the Bible is probably by selecting individual chapters. It is far better to read a whole individual book.

Here we will read the Bible from the view that because God decreed "Satan would be crushed by the seed of Eve", a special genealogy was invoked to survive sin and a lineage through the ages to link with the arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It was Jesus who crushed all the power of Satan.

Although there is on-going devilment running throughout the peoples of the world, we must remember that Jesus paid the price at The Cross for us all to be saved.

Although it is best to read the whole of Genesis in one go and, please do this, I would ask that the first three chapters are then revisited so as to study the purposes of this analysis.

Please read the first three chapters of Genesis.

So let's go back to the Garden of Eden. One thing often missed when we read about the confrontation between Eve and the serpent (regarding eating fruit from the Forbidden Tree) is that Eve wasn't so shocked by the serpent speaking as she was by what it was saying. The Nachash, which by the way was an upright and tall creature, behaved in a snake-like hypnotic fashion using cunning, devious and mesmerizing words, all in a language Eve clearly understood. His dialogue was constructed so as to make Eve pause in her trust, dependence and fidelity to God.

So just for an instant, just for a few moments, the serpent held sway.

And history was shaped.

Eve was to have many children, however we are only concerned with the child who would receive and then pass on the most precious Anointed Seed of all time, which was positioned within humanity, for humanity. A seed that was shielding a Root DNA from the ravages of the evil of sin, a Pure Strand of Life exclusively formed by no less than a Holy Command from God Himself.

Genesis 3:15

Part II: The First Humans

The Seed To Crush Must Survive From Eve

By the way, we should remember that the partner of Adam was called 'Woman' whilst they were in The Garden Of Eden. So technically the first humans were called Adam and Woman; it was only after they were expelled that Woman was renamed Eve. No children are named or known to have been born by Woman inside the Garden, however outside the Garden, newly named Eve is for sure known to have developed a large family, with three of the children to be of particular significance. These three were called Cain, Abel and Seth.

Cain, who was the first-born, would eventually kill his brother Abel and be driven from the land. He went on to have a daughter and several sons. The daughter is unnamed; the sons were Enoch, Irad, Mehujael, Methushael and Lamech.

Please note that Cain probably did not kill his brother when they were still young. For Cain to be driven from the land and find a wife, many new people would have had to have been created. Eve did have at least 33 sons and 23 daughters - wow indeed. Children born fresh from a perfectly made Adam & Eve would have had almost perfect genes, thus breeding was not an issue. Consequently, Cain would have been able to find a wife fairly easily if he killed Abel when he was over 50 years of age. In fact the maths produces the estimate that over 32,000 new people would be around!

Cain's son Lamech had two wives the first was called Adah. They had many children and two sons get a mention in Scripture. One called Jabal who became a great tentmaker and livestock controller. The other with the similar sounding name of Jubal is the first known musician, who played a form of flute and strummed a handmade harp.

Meanwhile Lamech's other wife, Zillah, also gets two children named in the Bible. A son called Tubal-Cain who, interestingly, formed and forged the first ever bronze style weapons. And a daughter is named as Naamah (who went on to play for Barcelona Women!).

The line of Cain may not have ended here but no more is recorded in Scripture; whatever the case the line would end anyway because of the coming Flood.

The Seed of Eve was destined then to move through from Seth.

Part III: Original DNA

The Seed To Crush Must Survive From Eve

Normally we would associate the Egg with a woman and the Seed with a man, so to clarify a point here we must remember that Eve – or as she was originally known – Woman, was a unique Creation direct from God.

As you would have read in Genesis 2:21-23 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from the man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of man.

With abundant life in the Garden of Eden and during their own progress, Adam and Woman eventually became intimate. Before they transgressed at the Forbidden Tree they were without sin. And during their very first liaison as a sinless couple a hidden gene was produced; a seed that lodged deep within Woman, probably in the form of a third strand of DNA. The make-up of the double helix is well known and works perfectly, the two strands can lock together and also be unpicked and therefore, be read and copied. A third strand would seem to be pretty useless on its own. In fact it would be better to have a quadruple helix because four strands would at least mean another pairing.

So a third strand of DNA would be ineffective then. Unless. Unless it were a Holy Unblemished Seed, crucially and eternally protected from sin. A locked away Code direct from God, never to be activated until paired by God Himself; as Born within humanity.

With the strength to crush anything, including sin and death and able to procure anything, including the forgiveness of any sin in any person, this Holy Seed was Creatively and incorruptibly Powerful. It was transferred through Eve from Adam into Seth as an unusable piece of genetic material, concealed from all good and evil parameters. God is neither good or evil, those impostors are just the consequences of sin. God is Pure.

Only real Purity would or could unlock a Code containing no language available to DNA sequencing, a Code hidden from existence by a quite secret language. Seth had many children of course but the one selected for this Seed to be passed onto was a chap called Enos. And Enos in turn also had many children but again, this Holy Gene was passed only on to one child, named Cainan, who in turn passed it through to Mahalaleel. The journey then led to Mahalaleel’s son Jared who was distinct in the fact that as the great, great, great grandson of Adam and Eve, he had a son who would actually walk with God.

Part IV: Walking With God

The Seed To Crush Must Survive From Eve

As the Seed-Link from Eve was transferred along the line, everyone of course still had sin within them but the Holy Ingredient from God was always diametrically protected from all history. Only a Supernatural Blessing upon a woman to be known as Mary, at a future date in history, would open the Code for the One without sin.

Having said that, one of Jared’s sons was about as close to being without blemish as ever a human could ever achieve. Enoch (the second person in the Bible to carry this name) was truly a most upright person and had a very special role in the early days of humanity.

Enoch lived a fruitful life and had many children with his wife, yet at the grand age of 65 he and his wife produced a son called Methuselah, a special and much loved character from that time. Before talking about him though, we must ponder about Enoch.

Enoch lived for an incredible 365 years and yet… nobody actually knows what really happened to him, he could even still be alive. If anyone knocks on your door looking several thousand years old, ask him if he is Enoch!

The Bible says in Genesis 5:24 “And Enoch walked with God”. This was after 365 years, so did he die? Genesis further states that suddenly “He was not; for God took him”. It does appear that Enoch maybe never experienced death. However the truth from Scripture is that every person dies.

You can take it to the bank that Enoch died, just as everybody else does. I think we should note that Enoch is said to have walked with God, it does not say that Enoch is ‘walking’ with God. Also the term ‘he was not’ is, in Hebrew, the same as ‘eventually die’. Although Hebrews 11:5 says that “Enoch should not see death” this is not the same as “Did not see death”. The Greek word used for ‘see’ is ‘eidon’, which means ‘aware’. So you could say Hebrews 11:5 is saying, “Enoch should not be aware of death”.

It is not my desire to go too deep into these things here, the main wonder to grasp is that Enoch walked with God!!

It is important by now to have read through Genesis 1-5 at least three times. Once to just read it, a second time to read it along with these notes and a third, to immerse yourself in the narrative to date, to soak up the truths within. Then perhaps read it all again for a fourth time.

One of the favourite characters in the Old Testament is Methuselah, who lived 969 years (Genesis 5:27), longer than anyone else recorded. His father was Enoch, of whom it is said he "walked with God" (5:24) but who was taken to heaven without dying at 365 years. Methuselah's son Lamech died a few years before the Flood at 777 years (5:31) after bearing Noah. When Methuselah was born, his godly father must have prophetically known of coming things for his son's name means "when he dies, judgment," and interestingly enough, Methuselah died in the same year God judged the sinful world with the great Flood of Noah's day.
